Life is full of surprises—opportunities and challenges that pop up when we least expect them. Being ready can mean the difference between seizing the moment or watching it slip by. But readiness isn’t just about wearing the right outfit; it’s about preparing your mind, heart, and spirit to step up when it matters.

Think of it this way: as a law graduate, you aim to pass the BAR and prepare for the test doesn’t just hope for the best—you study, plan, and get enough rest. An athlete gearing up for competition trains hard, knowing preparation is key to victory. Even in everyday conversations, being “dressed” for important moments means more than having the right words; it’s about being present, bringing empathy, and showing commitment.

Spiritual and emotional readiness matter just as much. When life throws curveballs—health issues, sudden career changes, or personal setbacks—it’s not about physical preparedness but inner strength. Building habits that nurture your mental and emotional well-being ensures you can face whatever comes with calm and purpose.

In Luke 12:35-40, Jesus calls us to "stay dressed for action," symbolizing a life of constant readiness. It’s about being spiritually alert and prepared, much like servants eagerly waiting for their master’s return. The message is clear: always be ready to act, serve, and respond without hesitation. His return does seem imminent.

Additionally, the moral decline and widespread rejection of biblical values mirror the "perilous times" described by St. Paul, where people would become "lovers of themselves" and "lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God" (2 Timothy 3:1-4, NIV). These indicators suggest that we may be witnessing the "birth pains" leading up to Christ's imminent return (Matthew 24:8, NIV).

Imagine stepping into each day not just dressed to impress, but dressed with purpose—a readiness in how you live, not just how you look. Living with an open heart and a prepared mind is more than a habit; it’s a way to be present, engaged, and truly alive.

And part of that preparation is trusting in God. Letting Him guide you brings peace, resilience, and a readiness for whatever lies ahead. It’s an invitation to live by faith, knowing that true and meaningful life comes from trusting in Christ who prepared us to enter into His Kingdom wearing the robe of righteousness Jesus purchased for us through His death.

His resurrection is an assurance that we too shall live.

Are you prepared?

Many signs of Christ's return seem to be unfolding today, aligning with biblical prophecies. For instance, global conflicts and unrest echo Jesus' warning of "wars and rumors of wars" (Matthew 24:6, NIV).
Natural disasters, such as earthquakes and extreme weather events, are also increasing in frequency, reminiscent of Jesus' prediction that "there will be famines and earthquakes in various places" (Matthew 24:7, NIV).

True readiness goes beyond big events like the BAR Exam. It’s about living each day with a mindset of growth and adaptability. That means developing skills, building resilience, and staying open to life’s twists and turns. Those who consistently invest in self-improvement are better equipped to tackle unexpected opportunities and challenges.
